[English] IFV #3 (Introduce Fingerboarding Video)

by LAZYPIPE 2024. 4. 30.

Today's fingerboard video to introduce is

"Relativity 2 - Jay Linehan" by Jay Linehan.

This video was recorded on May 4th, 2011.
(It's Jay Linehan's part in the Flatface Fingerboards DVD called Relativity 2, which was produced in 2009.)

Jay Linehan's style is likely famous and popular worldwide.

He has many sponsors, and several signature products have been released by Blackriver.
His boarding and style are excellent.

He effortlessly showcases immense skills, tossing the board with ease.

His tricks are simple yet technical, and the way he positions his fingers adds to the realism, catching attention.

During that time, as you can see in the video,
he likely used Berlin 29mm decks, tech decks, and possibly Flatface wheels.

Since then, he has naturally handled such incredible tricks and maintained a consistently cool style,
which hasn't drastically changed from the past.

It's likely that he spent his childhood with Mike Schneider,
going to his house, fingerboarding together,
and even helping each other in business ventures, as mentioned in interviews.

He has many sponsors and seems to maintain a fairly consistent level of activity.
(Though personally, I wish he uploaded more on Instagram or YouTube.)

His skills only seem to improve over time.

He performs simple tricks effortlessly and handles difficult,
technical moves smoothly, making them look less daunting.

Even in Korea, Jay Linehan is well-known,
and many people have probably seen this video,
but I still wanted to introduce it.

This IFV content is heavily influenced by the author's memories and preferences.

There may be parts that you don't relate to, But still, enjoy it!!
