[English] JNKY RADIO REVIEW.

by LAZYPIPE 2024. 5. 17.

The recent interview with Nyre Malik (@pockstarr) has garnered quite a bit of attention.

This time, I brought some items from his brand 'JNKY RADIO'.

I bought them because I really liked the shape of the decks, the graphics, and the stickers,

all of which suit my taste perfectly.

It took about two weeks using a shipping agency service.
(Surprisingly fast shipping, and their customer service is incredibly quick and excellent.)

When I first placed the order, I didn't hear any shipping updates for a while, so I sent them a DM.

They explained that the delay was due to sticker production and apologized.

I was touched by their kindness as they even sent a tracking number with a photo.

Cruiser shape.

The set includes grip tape, a deck, and stickers.

It features paper graphics, and the top ply of the deck is a split ply.

The coating is also excellent.

There are no flaws in the finish or details.

Setup.

I attached the Pipe Magazine prototype to the Blackcat grip tape.

From left to right: JCARD, METRO, DUEL MONSTER

Regular decks.

From left to right:
The first one is 'JCARD,' which I believe is the first graphic from JNKY RADIO.
The second is 'METRO,' featuring Pock's signature aesthetic.
The third is a parody of a Yu-Gi-Oh! card graphic.

Seeing the release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! graphic brought back memories of my childhood,

so I decided to purchase it.

Three riptapes with "JNKY" written on them, stickers, and SAXtape that Pock is sponsored by.

Personally, I like JNKY riptapes more than SAXtape.

Paper graphics with excellent coating and perfect finish.

It's been a while since I've purchased a deck that I really love.

Review

I've used it for about 3 or 4 days.

The shape of the deck is rather square.
Here's the level of kick and concave.

Personally, I felt it was similar to the COWPLY C2.

From what I saw on JNKYRADIO and POCKSTARR's Instagram,

I thought it would be a low-shaped deck like DUM1.

However, it wasn't as low as I expected,

and I could feel a moderate kick and concave.

The nose and tail are rather square,

which might be a bit cumbersome for some people,

but I like it even more because it's unconventional.

The deck's pop is excellent. The coating is really shiny.

And it's hand-shaped, the deck's shape isn't completely uniform.

However, the differences are minor and only noticeable if you look closely.

The finish of the holes and the side lines is also excellent.

Although it's a brand launched in March of this year,

the quality seems better than COWPLY.

Acturally, i don't usually get influenced much by the deck itself.

Low kick, high kick, width, shape, pop, weight, finish, etc.

Instead, I'm more influenced by the brand's identity, marketing, and customer service.

JNKY RADIO is a brand that meets these criteria for me.

I sincerely support them and wish them luck.

I'll end this post with an unboxing, setup, and a simple boarding video.
